Fuel cell technology continues to attract a great deal of interest as an alternative power source to the internal combustion engine. Substantial technical progress has been made and the appearance of the first vehicles offered in the commercial market mark a significant step. However, broad application and the eventual success of fuel cell technology in vehicles remain elusive.
