This three-volume set contains selected papers from the Fifth International Conference on Precipitation Scavenging and Atmosphere- Surface Exchange Processes, conducted in Richland, Washington, in 1991. In recognition of accomplishments in various aspects of this research field, each volume is dedicated to a successful contributor :

Volume Two : Atmosphere-surface exchange processes, to Richard G. Semonin
Volume Three : Applications and appraisals, to Peter W. Summers
Scientists from more than 20 countries, including the PRC and the (former) USSR, present papers on numerous aspects of atmospheric processes. Of particular interest is a section in volume three that is devoted to research on radionuclides from the Chernobyl accident. No index.
