The AIAG & VDA SPC Manual represents a harmonized approach to Statistical Process Control (SPC) across North America and Europe, developed by AIAG and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to support greater consistency across the global automotive supply chain.
This joint manual standardizes SPC practices, reporting templates, and technical terminology while aligning with ISO and other relevant international standards. It incorporates current SPC methodologies and practical guidance for process qualification and control, including flexible statistical methods, machine capability and performance studies, and control chart selection - helping organizations improve process capability, strengthen stability, and meet evolving customer expectations.
