This book addresses those environmental issues that are of general concern in onshore oil and gas exploration and productin. Other environmental issues may arise that are limited to particularfacts or circumstances. These are not discussed here but cannot be ignored by the onshore oil and gas operator. Such limited issues relate to asbestos regulation, PCBs, naturally occuring radioactive materials (NORMs), trasportation and distribution operations, and operation of chemical plants and refineries.
